Abstract
Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder, especially in young females, presenting with symptoms such as obesity, menstrual irregularities, lethargy and drowsiness. This report presents a case of a 25-year-old female diagnosed with hypothyroidism who reported weight gain, irregular menses, drowsiness, and lethargy. Based on individualized homeopathic case analysis, Calcarea carbonica was prescribed as the constitutional remedy. Following treatment, the patient showed marked improvement in clinical symptoms, along with better regulation of menstrual cycles and general well-being. This case suggests that individualized homeopathic treatment may play a supportive role in the management of hypothyroidism.

Introduction– Hypothyroidism is a common endocrine disorder, affecting women far more than men. In females, hypothyroidism often presents with subtle complaints such as feeling cold, tiredness, lethargy, and decreased libido. Other common manifestations include weight changes, dry skin, menstrual irregularities, mood disturbances, and impaired fertility. Diagnosis is based on clinical features supported by thyroid function tests. Homeopathy follows an individualized, holistic approach, and constitutional remedies such as Calcarea carbonica are often indicated in women presenting with hypothyroid symptoms.
