Around 34,000-40,000 species of spiders exits on the earth. They  can survive without any without any water for even whole year, especially in the deserts. Spiders form the largest and most widely distributed order of class of animals called Arachnida which also includes scorpions, false scorpions , mites and ticks.Their toxic venoms have been very useful in homoeopathy.

Arachnida bodies  are segmented with well developed heads and hard external skeletons. They have a pair of pincer claws and 4 pairs of legs, all attached to the Cephalothorax.

Spiders are of two types:

1.Aranomorphae or dipneumones with one pair of lungs. They spin cobwebs in air.
