10 April is celebrated as World Homoeopathy Day because it marks the birth anniversary of Christian Friedrich Samuel Hahnemann, the founder of Homoeopathy.
He was born on 10 April 1755, and his contributions laid the foundation of this system of medicine based on the principle of “Similia Similibus Curentur” (like cures like).
This day is observed every year to:
- Honor Dr. Hahnemann’s legacy
- Promote awareness about Homoeopathy
- Encourage research and ethical practice
On the occasion of World Homoeopathy Day 2026, the National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) extends its greetings and calls for nationwide activities. Celebrating the 271st birth anniversary of Dr. Samuel Hahnemann, BERH encourages practitioners to promote professional ethics and enhance public awareness of Homoeopathy across the country.
