A Retrospective Study to Evaluate the Prophylactic Efficacy of Arsenicum album 30C administered in Kerala during the Covid-19 Pandemic – Research study report by RAECH Department of Homoeopathy Govt of Kerala
Homoeopathic Immunity Booster (HiB) medicine distribution was commenced based on the Action Plan outlining the strategies for prevention & Management of CoViD-19 as per the G.O(Rt) No. 161/2020/AYUSH dated 21.04.2020. It was also suggested that an efficacy study can be conducted for the same. In order to address this need of scientific analysis, the State Level Expert Group (SLEG) of Rapid Action Epidemic Control cell – Homoeopathy (RAECH) has decided to conduct a state level study with the support of Homoeopathic Medical Colleges.

Retrospective, Randomized Comparative Cohort study

Homoeopathic Healthcare Institutions (Govt. / Aided) under the LSGIs of all the districts in the state.
Objectives
To determine the prophylactic efficacy of Arsenicum album 30C in preventing the occurrence of Covid-19.
Population under study
Those persons who were exposed to CoViD-19.
Sample frame
Those persons who have voluntarily participated in the survey.
Inclusion criteria
Persons of all age groups & genders, who have collected / received Arsenicum album 30c as Homoeopathic Immunity Booster / prophylactic (hereafter referred as HiB) during Covid-19 pandemic (Period : April 2020 – March 2021).
Study group : Persons who have consumed the HiB in the prescribed potency, dose & repetition.
Control group : Those who haven’t taken HiB
