The National Commission for Homoeopathy (NCH) has initiated stringent regulatory action against homoeopathic medical colleges across India for non-compliance with statutory norms. The action follows an official order dated February 10, 2026 (Order No. 35-1/MARBH/NCH/2026-27/12333-
The investigation was triggered by an RTI application filed on January 1, 2026, after which the NCH Assessment and Rating Board for Homoeopathy (MARBH) conducted scrutiny under the NCH Regulation 2024 and identified multiple violations.
Key Penalties Imposed:
Forged Documents: ₹5 lakh fine for submission of forged records
False Teaching Experience: ₹5 lakh fine per teacher
Ghost Teachers: ₹10 lakh per faculty member and ₹5 lakh per teacher
Unrectified Deficiencies: ₹5 lakh fine for failure to comply within the stipulated time
Illegal Admissions: ₹10 lakh per student for admissions made without NEET or AIAPGET qualification
Broader Regulatory Measures
In addition to financial penalties, NCH issued a circular effective January 28, 2026, aimed at curbing professional malpractices. The Board of Ethics and Registration has warned practitioners against:
Misleading advertisements
Cross-pathy practice
Use of fake or “ghost” credentials
Offering long-term treatment packages in violation of ethical norms
