MoU signed for study on reducing alcohol dependency using homeopathic techniques

M.S. Chellamuthu Trust and Research foundation here on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Central Council for Research in Homeopathy (CCRH) of Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, for a study on reducing the alcohol dependency using novel homeopathic techniques.

Subhash Kaushik, Director General, CCRH, said the new study was believed to open up new avenues in the field of treating and rehabilitating people addicted to alcohol. “Alcohol dependency due to various factors such as stress, overburden in work, etc., is increasing every day in our country,” he said.

Moreover, deaddiction treatment had become challenging owing to the complications related to handling people who were into the habit of drinking, he said.
