Abstract –
Menopause is a natural progression in a woman’s life. Some women sail through this transition period with no great difficulties, for others the menopause can be a hormonal roller-coaster and a particularly unpleasant time. As each woman’s journey through the menopause is unique, and due to the complex nature of the symptoms that can be experienced, Homoeopathy by its gentle individualizing approach can offer a healthy life in both mental and physical plane without side effects

Introduction
Menopause is the permanent cessation of menstruation at the end of reproductive life due to loss of ovarian follicular activity. It is a period of Unpredictable hormone fluctuations which results in long term symptomatic and metabolic complication. The World Menopause Day is held every year on 18th October around the globe. The theme of this day is to raise awareness of the impact menopause can have on women’s everyday life.
The age of menopause ranges between 45-55 years, so in this age group, stress in life will be more, stress along with hormonal changes in the body may result in the mood swings or, in more severe cases, even to depression. Aside from the huge part these hormones play in the reproductive system, they also play a huge part in your feelings of general wellbeing. As well as many other things, estrogen stimulates serotonin and beta-endorphins which are associated with positive mood states. It makes sense that as the hormone levels fluctuate, many women feel the affect strongly, and can feel depressed, anxious and experience mood swings. Women will be spending 1/3 rd of life span in the period of estrogen deficiency state with long term symptomatic and metabolic complication.
It is also called as ‘Climacteric’ or change of life. It can extend over many years, from peri-menopause through menopause and post –menopause. A majority of women experience some symptoms during this dynamic but temporary glandular adjustment process. But once you accept it as natural process, it will not become a ‘change of life ‘ but the ‘healthy phase of life.
