MEDICINE UNRAVELLED, A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO PRACTICE OF MEDICINE

This book¸ “MEDICINE UNRAVELLED, A COMPREHENSIVE GUIDE TO PRACTICE OF MEDICINE” is presented with deep humility as a practical guide for UG and PG students as well as practitioners of Homoeopathy. It is designed to simplify the study of diseases, clinical examination techniques, and Homoeopathic approaches to patient care, distilled from more than twenty-five years of teaching and clinical experience.

I owe much to the great authors and teachers whose works shaped my learning and guided my professional journey. Many ideas in this book are inspired by them, and I strongly encourage students to continue studying those classical texts for deeper insight.

Medicine is a constantly evolving science. To provide the best care, it is essential to remain informed and adapt to new knowledge and discoveries. This book is combined into three sections:

• Part I – Clinical Examination Procedures: Basic methods of General Survey, Cardiovascular System, Respiratory System, Gastrointestinal & Hepatobiliary System and Nervous System. Examination procedures are explained in a straightforward manner, enabling students to understand the location, extent, and nature of pathological changes of diseases.

A brief overview of ECG interpretation is also included.

• Part II – Study of Diseases of all systems: Diseases are presented concisely, covering their definitions, causes, clinical features, investigations, diagnostic criteria, and management. The aim is clarity and simplicity, without unnecessary complexity.

• Part III – Practice of Medicine in Light of Homoeopathy: Core Homoeopathic principles—Miasm, Constitution, Susceptibility, and Totality of Symptoms—are discussed in relation to clinical practice.

Homoeopathic therapeutics are outlined with selected drugs and their applications in different conditions.

 A section on drug relationships is also provided to guide second prescriptions.

It is my sincere hope that this book helps students build confidence in clinical diagnosis and strengthens their understanding of Homoeopathy as applied in the practice of medicine.
