On 28th January 2020, in Dr Hahnemann Jeevan Gaurav Award Ceremony, where various homeopathic doctors from all over Maharashtra were being awarded by Maharashtra Council of Homoeopathy, the Medical Education Minister, Mr. Amit Deshmukh, said that there are 23 hospitals and 18 medical colleges in Maharashtra which come under the jurisdiction of his department, that will soon be covered by the Essential Services Act (ESA). The decision to bring such colleges and hospitals under the ambit of ESA will surely help to expedite recruitment of staff and filling up of long-pending vacancies at these facilities.
