About the Role:
BJain Publisher is seeking an experienced Medical Book Editor with a strong background in editing medical and healthcare publications. The ideal candidate must have a deep understanding of medical terminology, academic writing standards, and medical publishing guidelines. This role requires someone who can ensure accuracy, clarity, and high editorial quality across medical manuscripts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive editing and proofreading of medical books, manuscripts, and academic content.
- Ensure technical accuracy, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology throughout the content.
- Improve the structure, readability, and logical flow of medical material while maintaining the author’s intent.
- Verify references, citations, tables, and figures according to publishing standards.
- Collaborate with authors and the publishing team to maintain high editorial and scientific standards.
- Ensure manuscripts comply with publisher guidelines, formatting requirements, and deadlines.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of proven experience in editing medical or healthcare-related books.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, clinical writing, and academic publishing standards.
- Exceptional editing, proofreading, and language skills.
- Experience working with medical publishers, journals, or academic institutions is highly preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple manuscripts and meet strict deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and scientific integrity.
Preferred:
- Background in Medicine, Healthcare, Life Sciences, or Medical Writing.
- Experience editing medical textbooks, clinical guides, research publications, or healthcare manuals.
