Homoeopathic Treatment for Dementia with the help of Ginkgo Biloba Mother Tincture

Dementia is a progressive, chronic brain condition that leads to loss of memory, ability to think, and behavioural disturbances. Ginkgo biloba extract has been increasingly popular for the treatment of memory problems.  The extracts come from the leaves of the Ginkgo biloba tree which is cultivated extensively for this purpose. Our aging population will consist of approximately 79 million people 65 year old or older in the year 2050. In severe cases, it can also impact the ability to perform simple day-to-day activities.

Being diagnosed with dementia can be a life-altering and challenging situation for the patient and his/her caregivers. Dementia is a progressive condition and can worsen with time. Since memory disorders increase dramatically with age, this poses a major challenge to both the pharmaceutical and nutritional industries to provide products which improve or prevent problems with memory.

Ginkgo biloba is rich in antioxidants and can help reduce inflammation. It may also be beneficial for heart health, brain function, and eye health, along with several other conditions.

Introduction:

Worldwide, around 50 million people have dementia, and this  number is expected to hit 152 million by 2050. Although there are many types of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease associated dementia is the most common and accounts for 60-70% of all cases.

The condition may start with something as simple as not being able to remember important dates or events and may increase in severity where a person may forget to wear clothes or eat food on time.

Usually seen in adults above 65 years of age and both male and female are equally affected.

Mimicking conditions are depression, delirium, mild cognitive impairments, stress, senility, nutritional deficiency.
