Dr Brian Kaplan

Dr Brian Kaplan, medical doctor with rich experience of 25 years and internationally renowned homeopath and teacher, shares his insights into how to create and improve the most pivotal factor in the practice of homeopathy – the bond of understanding between practitioner and patient through case taking!

1980: Completed 6 year medical school programme and graduated MBBCh at University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa.

1981: Year of internship (medicine and surgery) at Hillbrow Hospital, Johannesburg, South Africa.

1982/83: Worked in General Practice in the UK (mainly locums)

1983: Passed membership examination of the Faculty of Homeopathy, London.

1983-1985: Worked as clinical assistant at Royal London Homeopathic Hospital, London.

1987: Co-edited (with Dr Marianne Harling) D.M. Gibson’s Studies of Homeopathic Remedies (Beaconsfield)

1988: Completed training in Autogenic Therapy with British Autogenic Society and passed membership examination.

1991-2002: Was one of eight doctors who set up the Homeopathic Professionals Teaching Group and trained doctors, pharmacists and nurses in homeopathic medicine.

2001: Publication of The Homeopathic Conversation: The art of taking the case (Natural Medicine Press) which has become prescribed reading at most homeopathic teaching institutions.

2002: Became a Fellow of the Faculty of Homeopathy – FFHom.

2024: Became a Fellow of the British Autogenic Society (BAS)

1986 – present: In private homeopathic practice.
