AYUSH University To Come Up In Uttar Pradesh

A new University of AYUSH is going to come up soon in Uttar Pradesh to produce experts and help the state make a mark. The State Cabinet, under the chairmanship of Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath, on 25th February 2020, gave its approval to the proposal. Bills of the university will be presented in the ongoing budget session of the state legislature. The State AYUSH University will control all the Ayurvedic, Unani, and Homoeopathy colleges. At present, there are 8 state-run and 59 private Ayurvedic college controlled by Ayurved Directorate besides 2 state and 13 private Unani colleges and 9 government and 3 private Homoeopathy colleges.  These colleges come under respective state-run universities. This step is being taken to bring uniformity in the syllabus and academic calendar of Unani, Ayurvedic, and Homoeopathic colleges.
