A NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON FARMER – MANUFACTURER’S MEET: VISION FOR IMPORT TO EXPORT STRATEGY.

Introduction:

Homoeopathic system of Medicine is well known for its extensive use of medicinal plants for the preparation of Medicines. The continued availability of high-quality medicinal plant species needed by herbal manufacturers and enterprises is crucial for developing the medical system. To date, only a few medicinal plant species are farmed & wild harvesting continues to be the primary source of raw drug supply for pharmaceuticals, manufacturers, etc., placing significant pressure on wild resources and the natural ecosystem of medicinal plants & biodiversity. Growing demand and declining availability of medicinal plants are in such alarming disproportion emphasising the necessity for high-levelaction.
