This case report describes a 32 year old male manual worker’s case presented with partial crush and avulsion injury of the tip of the left ring finger, following accidental entrapment in a metal door, after individually analyzing the patient, arnica Montana was prescribed with external wound care and dressing, this case highlight’s the importance of the individualization in acute trauma cases and reinforces the role of arnica montana as a leading remedy in case of crush injuries within homeopathic practice.

Chief Complaint
Pain and bleeding from the tip of left ring finger following an accidental crush injury, since past 30 minutes.
- History of Present Illness
The patient sustained an acute traumatic injury to the tip of the left ring finger when it was caught in a metal door.
- Nature of injury: Partial crush of fingertip, Nail bed exposed, Oozing of blood initially.
- Pain: Severe, sore, bruised pain Sensation as if the finger is crushed
- Modalities: Pain < touch, Pain < movement.
Physical Examination: Fingertip raw, red, with exposed tissue, Nail partially lost
Surrounding tissue swollen and tender, No gross deformity, Sensation intact
Mental & General Symptoms
- Mentally calm but wants to be left alone.
- Patient says, “Don’t touch it, it’s not that bad”
- Totality of Symptoms (acute)
- Injury from blunt trauma / crush

- Justification:
- Leading remedy for trauma, bruises, crush injuries
- Marked sore, beaten feeling
- Patient characteristically says “I am well, don’t touch me” , and denies the severity of his injury.
- Potency & Dose
- Arnica 200 CH
One dose per week ( 2 doses) , followed by placebo.
- External wound care done separately (cleaning, dressing) by calendula mother tincture.

- Conclusion :
This case highlights the effectiveness of individualised homeopathic treatment in cases of acute crush injury, timely use of arnica montana supported by calendula mother tincture as external wound care , resulted in relief of pain, inflammation, and bruised feeling promoting satisfactory healing, this case reinforces the importance of individualization and confirms arnica montana as a leading remedy in acute crush injuries.
