Bhopal: A 21-year-old male, had been suffering from persistent plaque-like wounds on his scalp, accompanied by significant hair loss, for over a year successfully underwent treatment of chronic scalp psoriasis using homeopathic remedies at AIIMS Bhopal.
AIIMS Bhopal’s Dr Ashish Kumar Dixit, diagnosed the patient’s condition as scalp psoriasis caused by long-standing scabs on the scalp.
After two months of homeopathic treatment, the patient’s condition improved significantly, with the disappearance of plaques and the growth of new hair, according to a press release here on Sunday. Scalp psoriasis is a chronic skin disorder characterized by thick, scaly plaques that can extend to the forehead, neck, and around the ears. It can cause severe itching, discomfort and embarrassment, significantly impacting the patient’s quality of life. In severe cases, it can lead to hair loss and secondary infections.
AIIMS Bhopal director Dr Ajai Singh, later, emphasized the importance of conducting multidisciplinary research to gather more evidence supporting the efficacy of homeopathic remedies in managing such conditions. The institute is committed to providing comprehensive and effective treatment by integrating traditional and modern medicine, which exemplifies the potential of a holistic approach to healthcare, Dr. Singh added.
