27th Kent Memorial Lectures Held On 14th-15th Sep 2019

South Delhi Homoeopathic Association organizes its Annual Conference Kent Memorial Lectures every year. This year 27th Kent Memorial Lectures was observed on 14th and 15th Sept 2019 at PHD House, Hauz Khas, New Delhi. This year the Theme of two days Annual Conference was “Handling of Neuropsychological Disorders” keeping in mind increasing cases of such subject in our practice. The eminent dignitaries invited to inaugurate the event were: Dr (Mrs. Kanwal S. Sethi, former Homoeopathic Advisor, in the Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India., Shri Vivek Seigell, Principal Director, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Shri Pradeep Multani, Chairman AYUSH Committee, PHD Chamber, and Dr Satyendra Kumar Rajput, Director, Amity Institute of Indian Systems of Medicine.

Dr R.N Wahi, Chairman, Organizing Committee and Dr S.K. Mehta President SDHA welcomed the delegates and invited guests and dignitaries. The event started with Lighting of Lamp and Saraswathi Vandana. The invited dignitaries addressed the audience with their respective thoughts on the current situation of Homoeopathy.

Dr Kanwal S. Sethi, the chief guest of occasion shared how the implementation of NEET would bring talented homoeopaths in future. She encouraged young generations to join a dedicated organization like SDHA and experienced doctors, senior faculty from colleges to guide them. Shri Vivek Seigell emphasized on Integrated approach to have better health services and how it will help patients.

Shri Pradeep Multani, shared the role of AYUSH along with PHD house to promote alternative systems of medicine. He encouraged working of AYUSH Ministry in the last 5 years and organizing of Arogya Mela.

Dr. Satyendra Kumar Rajput advised to implement evidence-based cases and come up with success stories of Homoeopathy.

The event witnessed Release of Souvenir which was given to all delegates and guests present. The Scientific sessions started with Dr Manoj Patel who heads the Psychiatry Department of  M.L. Dhawale  Trust, Palghar, Maharashtra, His topic of the presentation was Opportunities & Challenges in Homoeopathic Management of Alcohol Abuse Disorders.

Dr Vishpala Parthasarthy from Mumbai, Chief Editor, National Journal of Homoeopathy presented cases on Sleep Disorders & Depression. She shared the limited results with best-selected remedies and later how Lac Humane was selected for her.

Professor Dr S.M. Singh, Director Sri Sai Nath Post Graduate Institute of Homoeopathy, Allahabad, presented the case of G.B. Syndrome and also gave his valuable tips on Materia Medica.

Dr Muktinder Singh from Punjab presented cases on Understanding Homoeopathic Perspective in Mania.

Dr V.K. Chauhan Ex. Principal B.R. Sur Homoeopathic Medical College not only presented cases on Drug Abuse but also shared clinical tips in Materia Medica. Dr Chauhan was ably supported by Dr Vandana Chopra Gambhir, who very nicely explained the legal implications with such cases.

 Besides experienced and talented speakers the younger generation followed the footsteps. Dr Nikhil Ajit Kulkarni and Dr Geeta Arora gave very good presentations on Panic Disorders and O.C.D. Dr Geeta Arora explained how a Clinical Psychologist can help homoeopaths to evaluate the Psychological cases.

Many exhibitors participated in KML 2019 and gave away their product samples, literature, conference goodies to guests and delegates. Adven Biotech, Bakson’s Drugs & Pharmaceuticals, SBL, Reckweg & Co, Dr Willmar Schwabe (India), Bhargava Phytolabs, Laboratories, National Homoeo Laboratories, CCRH, & National Journal of Homoeopathy participated in the event.

The Limelight attraction of this event was “YOUNG ORATION AWARDS” which was a new entry to KML 2019.This aims to encourage youngsters to participate in the event. The young doctors had to give their presentation on the basis of which judges selected the winners.

Dr Yashika Arora was the winner and Dr Sana Fatima and Dr Shubhangi were runner ups.

The Organizing Team of KML 2019 was headed by Chairman Dr R. N. Wahi, President Dr S. K. Mehta, Vice President Dr Shailja Nayyar, Gen Secretary, Dr Bhavna Malhotra, Director Finance Dr Satyavir Sharma, Joint Secretary, Dr Nidhi Kalra, and Dr Vinod Madan, Mass and Media officer Dr Amita Arora, Dr Shweta Gautam and Dr Akshita Gupta were masters of ceremony.

Adven Biotech organized the Lucky draw for participating delegates and gave away the gift hampers. The event concluded with Group Photograph, National Anthem, and Farewell tea.
