BACKGROUND: – Homoeopathy is called as an art and science of healing. As a result, their efficacy is highly debated and often dismissed as a placebo. Despite several hypotheses postulated to explain the claimed homeopathic efficacy, none have satisfactorily answered the qualms of the sceptics. Against all beliefs and principles of conventional dilution, we have shown that nanoparticles (NPs) of the starting metals are unequivocally found in the 30c and 200c remedies at concentrations of a few pg/ml. In this paper, our aim was to answer the important question of whether such negligible metal concentrations elicit a biological response. Where it is doubtful that homoeopathic medicines works or not, it is only mental satisfaction or what.
METHOD: – This is an internet-based online search from databases, journals; bibliographic resources aboutthe science of nanotechnology in homoeopathy was done. Publications andArticles with literature from homoeopathic books were reviewed and written.
DISCUSSION: –The discussion based on the previous researches and homoeopathic text books.
Nanotechnology: –Nanotechnology known as the branch of science and engineering devoted to designing, producing, and using structures, devices, and systems by manipulating atoms and molecules at nanoscale.
Purpose of nanotechnology: –Using nanotechnology, materials can effectively be made stronger, lighter, more durable, more reactive etc.
Homoeopathic review of literature: – As we know that the administration of homoeopathic medicineworks on the rules of Similar, Stronger, Single remedy and minimum dose.
Why minimum dose:-If homoeopathic remedy given in too strong dose, it proves injurious because of its magnitude. Once the medicine administered in large dose then it extinguishes the natural misamatic disease so the patient no longer suffers with the original disease, but the affective parts are much sensitive that the powerful dose develops similar and more violent medicinal disease(aphorism no. 275-276)1.
Advantage of minimum dose: -i-The side effects of administration medicine will be minimum, as Master Hahnemann said the patient growing hourly better, feels almost nothing of them at all, because the excessively minute dose which is too weak to produce symptoms of medicine (aphorism no 155)1.
ii- The next remedy can be administered immediately for another complaint without any issue. When it should be given in an insufficiently minute dose, will not produce very irritable and sensitive reaction to the patient (aphorism 156 (a))1.
REVIEW OF NANOTRCHNOLOGY AND SCIENCE OF HOMOEOPATHY BASED ON SEVERAL PREVIOUS RESEARCHES
IIT scientist and group said homoeopathic medicine works on the principle of nanotechnology in 2010.Where the pills of homoeopathy contain metals and retain their potency even when diluted to a manometer. The IIT Bombay research published in the latest issue of Homoeopathy, a peer – reviewed journal. The chemical department of IIT Bombay bought pills of homoeopathy from neighbourhood shops, then they prepared highly diluted solution and checked it under powerful electron microscopes to find nanoparticles3.
Scientist PrashantChikramane presented the research on Homoeopathy titled ” Extreme homoeopathic dilution retain starting materials: A nanoparticulate perspective “, as a part of his doctoral thesis5.
This report riveting observation that certain diluted high potency of Homoeopathic medicines made from metals still contain measurable amounts of the starting materials, while in extreme dilutions of 1 part in 10 raised to 400 parts i.e. 200C.2 And this is well known that a series of 1:99 Homoeopathic dilutions done sequentially will produce a significant homoeopathic dilution of the starting materials in very short order1.
At the process of 200th dilution the likelihood of there being at least one atom of the starting materials which approaches zero. So, according to his research dilution does not work simply.
So, according to the law of chemistry there is a limit to the extent to which a solution can be diluted without losing its original substance totally3.
And in the clinical practice of Homoeopathic potencies like 30C and 200C having dilution factors of 10 60 & 10 400 respectively, which is a far avogadro number of molecules in one mole are frequently used5.
Measuring the Nano particle by using election microbiology, atomic spectroscopy, electron diffraction, Scientist Chikramane found that in high potency’ remedy there are nanogram quantities of starting materials still present in the form of nanoparticles5.
A Research is done by A Homoeopathy doctor (Dr E S Rajendran) who is director of Vinayaka Mission Homoeopathic medical College, Bangluru at nanotechnology lab in IISc, Bengaluru in April 20155.
This study reveals that Homoeopathic medicines contain nano particles of its resource medicines even in the higher potencies (dilutedform)5.
Recherche Expérimentale Moderne En Homéopathie Authored by Maurice Plazy and Robert Mergerin in 1967, the presence of molecules of the original substance beyond Avogadro’s limit was mentioned in this book at first4.
Results: –Hence to get rapid, gentle and permanent cure, this is always wise to administer according the law of homoeopathy as Mater Hahnemann well said. Thus, the highest ideal of cure is rapid, gentle and permanent (aphorism no. 2)1. And nano particles of homoeopathic remedies work well in patients without any side effects and it cured permanently.
Conclusion: -Hence it is proved that as the dose is minuted it works well and the lay man also can understand that homoeopathic medicines are harmless because it is diluted so many times. Hormetic activation has been shown for the first time with standard homeopathic high-potency remedies. These findings should have a profound effect in understanding these extreme dilutions from a biological perspective. Homoeopathy is the best science of treatment with permanent cure without any side effects and pain,
