Editor (Freelance) 
A great Freelance Editor role working for a charity committed to promoting homeopathy.
The British Homeopathic Association is a registered charity founded in 1902. The principal objectives of the charity are to promote and develop the study and practice of homeopathy and to advance education and research in the theory and practice of homeopathy.
Position: Editor
Location: Homebased
Contract type: Freelance – 3 issues per annum
Salary: £2,500 – £3,000 per issue (per annum equivalent £7,500 – £9,000)

About the Role: 
The post holder will edit the magazine Health & Homeopathy and be involved in activities related to the magazine’s short to long-term development. Health & Homeopathy is a 32-page magazine, targeted at the public and their supporters. The issues are printed for Summer (June/July), Autumn (Oct/Nov) and Winter (Feb/Mar).
The magazine is well read by the charity’s supporters and covers a wealth of topics around health besides homeopathy. You will compile the issue, write news pieces, solicit content and features from trusted sources, source photos for items and work with external designers to format each issue.
You will ensure the highest quality production, meeting the organisations’ respective needs and being as cost-effective as possible.
About You:
To be successful in this role you will have a proven track record as an editor that has experience of writing and editing magazines on health or related topics. A PR or marketing qualification is necessary, as is experience of membership communications. You will have the ability to write clear, authoritative, persuasive and accurate copy for a range of audiences and have sound proof-reading skills and a commitment to accuracy. Excellent IT skills and knowledge of MS Office is essential.
Experience of the health or charity sector is desirable as is knowledge of homoeopathy and complementary medicine.
