Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health.  PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centres of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief:

Odisha has been reporting high API for last several years. This cluster randomized field trial aims to assess the prevention effectiveness of homeopathic medicines on Malaria through an experimental study design.

Deliverables:

  • Conducting base-line household survey as a part of base-line.
  • Facilitating distribution of drugs as given through a double-blind process.
  • Entering data in specified softwares / formats on regular basis as per the project requirements.
  • Coordinating logistics related activities during data collection and drugs administration.
  • Conducting active surveillance of cases in the given population.
  • Monitoring field activities of the Fis.
  • Providing support to the Fis in project implementation.
  • Liaisoning with the local government officials, key community members etc.
  • Analyzing data and writing reports periodically.
  • Conducting periodic household surveys, as required under the project.
  • Liase with the local government functionaries and village pradhans.
  • Any other work as assigned by the Principal Investigator under the project.

Qualification:

Essential

  • Graduation in any discipline with 3-5 years’ experience ‘OR’ PG with 2-3 years.

Experience:

Essential

  • Experience in field based work / research work will be preferred.

Desirable

  • Strong Knowledge in MS (Word and Excel), SPSS/R

Annual Salary (CTC) will commensurate with the available skills and fitment of the incumbent as per the selection process.
