Mangaluru: The 73rd Independence Day of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of India was celebrated at 9 am on Thursday 15 August at Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital.
The chief guest was Dr. B. Sanjeev Rai, Head of Research, Father Muller Research Center, FMCI hoisted the national flag. Thereafter, a formal program was organized in the college auditorium at 9.30 am.
The principal of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Dr Shivprasad welcomed the gathering and introduced the chief guest. Father Muller Homoeopathic Health Card was launched by the Chief Guest. Sumitra was the first beneficiary to receive a health card. Five other beneficiaries also received health cards.
Dr B. Sanjeev Rai while addressing the attendees said, “If 1.5 million soldiers can protect our nation, why can’t two million doctors reach out and strive for a healthy India?” Dr B. Sanjeev Rai called all medical professionals? To pledge to have our desire for the health of the country.

The Deputy Principal of Father Muller Homoeopathic Medical College, Dr ESJ Prabhu Kiran submitted a vote of thanks and was appreciated by all, who were responsible for the success of the program.
A class-wise patriotic singing competition was organized to arouse patriotism among the students. Five teams from different classes participated in the competition. Shilpa and team of IV BHMS finished first, while the team of Nahla and III BHMS, Swati, Manoj and II BHMS won second and third prize respectively.
