New Delhi: Ayurveda, Yoga and Naturopathy, Greek, Siddha, and Homeopathy (AYUSH) together with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare strengthened the effect of the current national program for the prevention and control of cancer, diabetes, heart disease and stroke. NPCDDCS) program.
In response to a question asked in the Rajya Sabha, Minister of State for AYUSH, Shri P. P. As on May 31, 18.99 lakh people have been screened with about 1.75 lakh patients. He also discussed various other interventions in different parts of the country.
Ayurveda intervention is applicable in 52 centres of Bhilwara (Rajasthan), Surendranagar (Gujarat) and Gaya (Bihar). Greek intervention is applicable in a district hospital and 17 community health centres (CHCs) in Lakhimpur Kheri district of Uttar Pradesh.
Homoeopathy interventions have been implemented in 21 centres of Krishna (Andhra Pradesh) and Darjeeling (West Bengal) districts and have been extended from May 2017 to Sambalpur (Odisha) and Nashik (Maharashtra).
