Online Scribe Process Job Description
A medical scribe is a person, or paraprofessional, who specializes in charting physician-patient encounters in real-time, such as during medical examinations. Medical scribes generate referral letters for physicians, book appointments and manage and sort medical documents within the EHR system. A virtual or online scribe is one who does this sitting remotely at a distant place connecting the doctorâs office and by listening to the doctor-patient conversation and doctor’s instructions.
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities
- Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician.
- Make entries of visit notes in the EHR/EMR.
- Schedule patient visits and follow-ups.
- Schedule procedures for patients.
- Schedule laboratory tests and other investigations.
- Forward prescriptions to the pharmacy.
- Training will be provided.
Requirement / Qualification
- Under Graduate / Graduate (any)
- Good English communication skills
- Microsoft Office and Excel.
- Good knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology of US HealthCare
- Preferably medical transcriptionist, pharmacist, BAMS, BHMS, dentist.
Shift Timings
Night Shift : 5:30 PM to 3:00 AM IST
