ECZEMA
Eczema derived from word “to boil” and is synonymous with term “dermatitis”.
DEFINITION
Eczema is condition in which patches of skin become inflamed,
Rough, dry, cracked with blisters causes itching, burning and sometimes bleeding.
It may be acute or chronic, acutely epidemal oedema and intraepidermal vesiculation whereas chronically there is more epidemal thickning,vasodialation and T-cell lymphocytic infiltration of upper dermis also occur.

Dry, sensitive skin
Intense itching
Recurrent rash
Red, inflamed skin
Rough,scaly areas,leathery patches
Oozing and crusting,areas of swelling
Dark colour patches of skin
Erythema (redness)
Blistering, papules and scaly skin
GENERAL MANAGEMENT AND TREATMENT OF ECZEMA
AD—Atopic Dermatitis
HOMOEOPATHIC MANAGEMENT OF ECZEMA
GRAPHITES:
• This is a great antipsoric remedy
• Affect the person of fair complexion fatty,chilly with tendency to skin affection, constipation,with delayed mensrual history
• Rough, dry,persistent dryness of portion of skin
• Eruption oozing out watery sticky exudation
• Eczema of nose, moist eczema around mouth and chin
• Eradicate tendency to erysipelas
• Eruption behind ear
• In dark , wrapping up
SULPHUR-
• Skin affection after local medication
• Dry scaly unhealthy skin,every little injury suppurate
• Itching burning worse after scratching and washing
• Excoriation specially in fold
• Pruritus specially from warmth in evening often reoccur at spring time in damp weather
• <Worse from warmth of bed , washing, bathing,11am
• As an intercurrent remedy when carefully selected remedy fails to produce favourable effect.
PSORINUM-
o Patient is extremely sensitive to cold want warm clothing in summer.Dry, lusterless dirty look of skin.Intolerable itching
• Eczema behind ear,humid eruption on face.Offensive discharge.
• Rash on eyebrows and cheek.Burning like heat rash below eye causes itching smarting pain burning and soreness after scratching.
MEZERIUM-
• Eruption after vaccination.Scaly eruption, white scab.Head covered with thick leathery crust,intolerable itching, chilliness with pruritus.Shining, fiery red areola, burning pain.
• <Worse from cold air, night evening until midnight, touch
• Better from open air
CALC SULPH
• Eczema ,mucous discharge comes within this range of remedy.Mucous discharge are yellow, thick and lumpy.
• Unhealthy skin not heal readily.Skin affection with yellow scab,Dry eczema in children,Bleeding when scretched.
