Summary Of First Meeting On Unified Organization Of Homeopaths

Meeting initiated taking note of the situation of the Supreme Court dismissal of Homeopathy intervention request which had created a situation which risked going subjudised if any curative petition is filed and then it would freeze situation. Therefore a serious situation where the Government of India needed to be represented to has arisen where the need to come out  with a document in favour of inclusion of Homeopathy into Covid19 intervention is crucial. Briefing done by *Dr Sreevals Menon* and the organizational representatives agreed on the following. 1. A common memorandum listing all the collating  organizations with the drafted content appealing the desired order from ministry signed on behalf of all by Dr Esmail Sait. 2. Separate letters from all organizations of the same content to the ministry.Both to be sent early. 
*Main agenda*
Dr Esmail Sait welcomed the organizational participants and highlighted the emergence of the need of a strong unified platform. 
The participants except those from SAHYA and QPHA mentioned that they were on personal capacity  and the requisite ratification process is desired from their respective organizations to move forward on the ideas derived in principle at this meeting with which they have to come back at next meeting as we go ahead. 
Proposal of a national organisation as an umbrella organization was proposed by *Dr Piyush Joshi* where (1) Every member of all the organizations shall become a member of the umbrella organization. (2) The organizations shall go as usual and stand united under umbrella organization (3) Doctor’s can also directly join the umbrella organization. 
*Dr Bhaskar Bhatt* refreshed the earlier coordination platform’s and spoke positive on the need of the umbrella organization platform and terms and its positive significance for Homeopathy in the country. 
*Dr Harindranath TK* also related the meeting to the earlier coordination efforts of IHMA with other major organizations and accepted in principle the new umbrella organization and terms as proposed. Identified the moment as a crucial one.
*Dr Reju Kareem* from IHK also accepted the proposal for umbrella organization and terms in principle. 
*Dr Ashik Mohammed* defined the significance of QPHA’s emergence for private sector and welcomed the umbrella organization movement and terms in principle and offered all support. 
*Dr S G Biju* reminded on the Kerala coalition movement AKHCC which was issue based which had effectively met its objectives and pointed out the need of the proposed umbrella organization which has potential to transform the status of Homeopathy in the country. He explained the objectives of SAHYA, its vision and extended all support. 
*Dr Srinivas Rao N* said though not officially representing IIHP but is being present as the office bearer’s could not show up unfortunately. He supported the Umbrella Organization proposal and offered support of IIHP awaiting ratification from office bearers. 
*Dr Mansoor Ali* wished the movement great success and highlighted its crucial need at this very important stage of how things are proceeding in Homeopathy in the country. 
*Dr Sreevals Menon* said he felt the development in the meeting has potential to transform the fate of Homeopathy in the country and the unity has come in at a crucial moment. Appreciated the proposal of the umbrella organization which also keeps the identity of the respective organization intact as we march forward under the unified organization. 
The meeting also proposed the need to have a detail look into the model of the structure of LMHI and explore if its worldwide  model could be followed for umbrella organization. 
A consensus in principle on name as Indian Homeopathy Association IHA was arrived upon by all the organizations except IHK which reserved it comments on it.
