Chennai: The Madras High Court has ordered a notice to be given to the Central and State Governments on a petition, seeking directions from them to reduce the eligibility marks prescribed for admission to Indian Medical UG courses. He said 230 seats were vacant in the state of Tamil Nadu under the government quota (including the All India quota).
Kandavadivel Dorisamy submitted that by 2018-2019, admission to Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Siddha and Homeopathy courses was done by the students in their Plus Two or its equivalent examination based on the marks recognized by the State Government and recognized by the Board of Education went.
The prescription of NEET score for admission to Indian medical courses was introduced for the first time from the current academic year.
