Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) is administering dengue preventive homo-medicine developed by the Ministry of AYUSH, which is free in all schools, Aanganwadis and slums. Also, more than 600 health camps are being organized to control the spread of the mosquito threat.
On Friday, more than 30,000 homoeopathy medicine vials were handed over to the public and distribution would continue throughout this season.
In addition, intensive mosquito control efforts were being made by the GHMC, said GHMC Serilingampally Zone Commissioner, D Harichandana.
In areas where positive cases of dengue were occurring, extensive larval measures have been taken in addition to fogging activities. The GHMC Entomology Wing is installing nets for the air pipes of the drainage tanks in various areas of the peripheral municipalities, which lack an underground drainage facility.
