Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that the government is aiming to set up 12,500 AYUSH centres across the country.
Addressing a program in the Ministry of AYUSH, the Prime Minister said, “10 out of 12,500 AYUSH centres were inaugurated in Haryana on 30th August 2019.”
PM Modi said that Ayush and Yoga are strong pillars of the recently launched FIT India movement.
Speaking about the Ayushman Bharat scheme, Modi said, “People have benefited from free health services under this scheme, if they did not come under the scheme, they would have spent Rs 12,000 crore for their treatment.
In a way, Ayushman Bharat Yojana has saved Rs 12,000 crore of millions of poor people of the country.
