The Ministry of AYUSH is privileged to bring commemorative stamps as its humble tribute to the nation from the modern era to the 12 master healers of the AYUSH system.
Dr KG Saxena was a noted homeopathic physician and made Hercules efforts for the recognition and advancement of homoeopathy. He was the first Honorary Advisor (Homeopathy) of the Government of India and then the President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad also served as an honorary physician. He was awarded the Padam Shri Award.
He was also awarded the National Award in Calcutta by the NC Chakravarti Memorial Committee for his outstanding contribution to the development of homoeopathy. The International Homeopathy Congress, New Delhi honoured him with the “Presidential Honor” in 1967 and again in Calcutta in 1989. He was the chairman of the homoeopathic advisory committee of the government. Delhi from 1994 to 1999.
Dr KG Saxena died in the month of October 2003.
