A white coat ceremony was held to welcome the new batch of BHMS students at the Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital here today.
The ceremony marks the transition of students from pre-clinical to clinical health care systems. The principal of the college Dr Sandeep Puri, addressing the students, said that the white coat was a symbol of peace, purity, honesty and commitment. “Students should always respect their profession and be committed to the community.”
Dr Puri said: “The medical profession is a great profession and students have chosen an institute of excellence in homoeopathy. This institute promotes medical ethics and discipline.”
Hard work and discipline were the keys to success, he said, adding that the institute was one of the top 10 institutes of homoeopathy in India.
