The Union Cabinet today approved the draft of the Homeopathy Central Council (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
The Bill seeks to increase the period of reorganization of the Central Council from the current period of one year to two years, so that the effect of the term of the governor’s board for a period of one year can be extended as well as being effective from May 17, 2019, The statement said.
The statement said, “It will help the Union Homeopathy Council to use the powers and to carry out the functions of the Council.”
Bill Homeopathy will replace the Central Council (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019 and extend the tenure of the Board of Governors for another one year.
The affairs of the Union Homeopathy Council have been entrusted to a Board of Governors, which includes reputed and qualified Homeopathy doctors and eminent administrators until the Council is reorganized.
It has been stated in the statement that due to non-upgradation of state registers of the combination of homoeopathy and general elections, the council cannot be reconstituted within one year, because the term has been extended.
