New Delhi: Official sources said that on June 21 this year, the main event of International Yoga Day will be held in Ranchi. After becoming the Prime Minister for Modi’s second term, it will be the first Mega public program of the government. Five cities – Delhi, Shimla, Mysore, Ahmedabad and Ranchi were shortlisted by the AYUSH Ministry and sent to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) for the final selection.
An official source said, “The PMO gave Ranchi the last place for the main event of International Yoga Day to be held on 21st June.” A senior official of the Ministry of AYUSH said, “We have already started preparations and this program will be organized on a large scale.” National Yoga Institute from Saturday.
It is expected that in this program, about 10,000 people will be involved, including yoga teachers, professionals, enthusiasts, among others. The official said, “It aims to create a climate of yoga in the lead of the main program and make people aware of the function of June 21.” The United Nations declared June 21 as the International Yoga Day in 2014.
