NONGPOH: The office of District Health and Health Officer Ri Bhoi organized a one-day Public Health assistance program on Friday with the Ayush Health Camp sponsored by the Ayush National Mission in Bhoirymbong CHC.
Umroi’s local legislator, George B Lyngdoh, attended the program as the main guest in the presence of the District’s Health and Health Officer, Dr. M Mawrie, physicians, chiefs or nearby villages, ASHA workers and locals.
DR H Lanong, head of AYUSH, said the Mission launched by the Central Government aims to implement the AYUSH lifestyle by adopting a village and herb garden to provide easy access to services for people to through an increase in the number of health facilities Medicine and trained workers. Lyngdoh praised the initiative taken by the Department of Health to launch the program as part of mass awareness among people about the importance of Ayurvedic and homeopathic medicines as a step to prevent and treat various types of diseases for a better future.
