In an effort to motivate medical and paramedical personnel to provide a better quality service to the people of Delhi, the Department of Health has invited regular service physicians, nurses and paramedical personnel working under the government, municipal corporations and the Municipal Council of New Delhi to award state awards.
In accordance with government requirements, all recommended applications must be accompanied by supporting documents, ACR scores for the last five years, surveillance authorization and one-page citations.

The letter sent to the hospitals indicates that the complete requests duly recommended by the Head of the Department must reach the address before March 20, 2019.
Under the scheme, 20 doctors in allopathy, homeopathy and medical systems of India and 31 paramedical and nursing staff who worked for the last 15 years or more with excellent services for the people of Delhi will receive the state award.
Each successful bidder will receive a souvenir, a citation certificate and a cash prize.
The prime minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal, will award these prizes to the selected candidates.
Currently, each doctor is awarded a lakh cash prize of ₹ 1 and each nurse / paramedic is awarded ₹ 50,000.
