Physiotherapy, Homeopathy camp, and other activities conducted by SGGC world university for the celebration of Gurupurab on 22nd Nov


Ftahegarh sahib:

A free Homeopathy and physiotherapy camp was organised by the Shri Guru Granth Sahib world university on 22ndNov for the celebration of first Sikh guru, Guru Nanak anniversary. The camp was inaugurated by the Vice chancellor, Dr Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra.  Almost 200 patients from Ftahegarh sahib and adjacent districts acquiredadvantage of the free services at the camp. Other than this, slogan and poster making competition and narrative contest activities were also organised at the university campus and many school students fromneighboring cities actively participated in the competition.

A mega tree plantation drive was too organised with the aim to highlight the importance of the clean and dust free environment. Dr Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra, Vice chancellor and Dr Pritpal Singh, Registrar of the university were at the forerunner of the drive.   ‘It is our moral and social accountability to protect our environment and devoted this plantation drive to the modest life-style which Guru Nanak proposed and practised’, said by the vice chancellor during his speech. Total of 550 treeswas planted on the 550 birthday of Guru Nank ji, informed by the authorities. The students and faculty of the university campus take part in the plantation drive.

Prizes were distributed to the winner by the Dr Sukhdarshan Singh Khehra, Vice chancellor. Dr Pritpal Singh,Registrar of the university, Prof. Sawraj Raj, Head, Department of English, Chief coordinators, staff and students mark their presence during the occasion.
