KEA Announces KCET 2018 Result; Document Verification To Begin From June 05

The result for KCET 2018 has been announced by the Karnataka Examinations Authority. The entrance test was held on April 18 and 19, 2018. The candidates can check their result by online mode at the website, kea.kar.nic.in, cet.kar.nic.in and karresults.nic.in.
To check the result, the candidates need to visit any of the above-given websites. Then click on the link for “KCET 2018 Result“. Next, enter the Registration Number and click on Submit button. On submitting the detail, your result will appear on the screen. Download and take a print out of it for future reference.
As per some newspaper reports, this year more girls have qualified for engineering seats as compared to boys. A total of 73,197 girls have succeeded in the entrance test in comparison to 72, 866 boys.
The scorecard for KCET 2018 consists of Name, Roll Number, Score in PCM/B, Merit and few other details.
After the declaration of result, a merit list will be prepared and published online. The merit list for B.E / B.Tech courses is prepared on the basis of their performance in KCET 2018 + marks in qualifying examination. The merit list for B.Arch is prepared by considering scores obtained in NATA 2018 or JEE Main Paper II 2018 Score. Merit list for courses such as B.Tech (Agriculture Engineering) and B.Sc (Agriculture / Forestry / Sericulture / Agri Bio.Tech / Horticulture / Home Science / Food Technology / Dairy Technology / Bachelor of Fisheries Science / Food Science & Tech / Ag. Marketing and Cooperation) are prepared by considering KCET 2018 score + marks in Qualifying Examination.
Except for MBBS/ BDS, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy, and Yoga (ISM & H), B.Arch, for the rest of the courses of performance in KCET 2018 is considered for admission and preparation of merit list.
The candidates will then be further shortlisted for counselling and seat allotment in the various programmes on the basis fo their score and rank in KCET 2018. Those whose name appears in the merit list will then be eligible to participate in counselling.
The qualifiers of the entrance test will have to appear for document verification, which will take place at 16 notified test centres on June 05, 2018. Those who will pass this stage will get a verification slip, and only after that, the candidates will be able to enter options/choices for course and college.
This year, about 1,98,655 students wrote the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET 2018). The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) is State level entrance test which is conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority. Through KCET, the candidates can seek admissions to the Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy and Yoga, Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Farm Science courses.
