Trichy: Ayush club, a one-stop solution for diseases through ayurveda, yoga and naturopathy, unani, siddha and homoeopathy was inaugurated by the Indian medicine and homoeopathy department on the Mahatma Gandhi memorial government hospital (MGMGH) campus on Thursday. Practitioners from all the five branches of medicine will be available at the club in the Indian medicine block from 3pm to 5pm on Fridays.
“The club is aimed at providing solutions through treatments to chronic diseases besides clearing their doubts on the diseases and the treatment methods,” said district siddha medical officer (DSMO), Trichy Dr S Kamaraj.
Patients can get tips about food habits and lifestyle changes to stay away from diseases through Ayush, said the DSMO. The club will also provide psychology counselling and tips for stress management.
Chronic disease patients can become members free of cost. They will be given preference in specialised treatments. Patients can enrol themselves as members of the club through the siddha staff nurse in the hospital.
