A national seminar on cancer management through homoeopathy (evidence based) was organised by the Chandigarh State Branch of the Indian Institute of Homoeopathic Physicians (IIHP) here.
Dr LM Khan from Kolkata and Dr Muktinder Singh from Punjab were the keynote speakers.This coincided with the CEC meet of the national body of the IIHP that was attended by national president Dr MA Rao and Padma Shri Dr VK Gupta, besides other senior doctors from all over the country.
The seminar was inaugurated by Dr Tajinder Pal Singh and Dr HP Sharma, chairman of the Council of Homoeopathic System of Medicines (CHSM), Government of Punjab and Haryana, respectively.In his lecture, Dr Khan made more than 350 delegates from the country aware of the evidence-based clinical procedures of treating second and third stage malignant cases.He also explained successful procedures of handling post-chemotherapy patients, whereas Dr Muktinder Singh shared expertise of handling similar situations in paediatrics.
In his address, Dr BS Chandhok, national adviser of the IIHP, informed the delegates about holding annual workshops on malignancy and auto-immune disorders by the forum.He stressed upon that public awareness of making a proper choice of an institutionally qualified physician is an important factor.
