A Case of Excessive Perspiration

A male patient aged about 30 yrs. came to me with complain of excessive perspiration.
He presented the following symptoms:

• Excessive perspiration, much in palms than in soles
• Excessive perspiration with pain even after washing and even in air conditioner.
• Perspiration ameliorated in open air.
• Dropping perspiration, Pain in joints of hands when sweat dropped
• Perspiration aggravates during anxietyand when ready to go somewhere
• Slight exertion aggravated
• Excessive thirst for large quantity of water at long interval
• Darkness under the eyes, colour brown
• Sleep semi-conscious with no dreams
• Anxiety starts from thinking about goint somewhere
• It is difficult to give impressions of finger print on fingerprint detecting devices due to perspiration.

On further query about any previous history of illness or any homoeopathic or other medicine taken ; the patient revealed that once he taken Acid-phos 200^th for a period for he had sexual disturbances that he didn’t well explained to me. I again asked for it. “ What then happened after taking that medicine ?” He then replied “ The medicine worked good that my problems completely vanished.”
Then I asked that when the problem of perspiration started ? He replied, “Almost two months after getting relieved from the sexual problems.”
Then I finished asking questions and let him go and told to meet me next day. I took his current problems as :

• Perspiration excessive, much in palm than in sole
• Perspiration excessive even after washing the hand, even in air condition
• Sweats dried in open air
• Discolouration, brown around eyes.
• Excessive perspiration with excessive thirst of large quantity of water at long interval
• Excessive perspiration causing heaviness in hand when sweats dropping
• Perspiration on slight exertion
• Anxiety associated with perspiration
• Sleep – semiconscious
• Sleep – long
• Dreams – Unremembered
• Then I tried to get to the simillimum by the help of repertorisation. After repertorisation Bryonia was the choice of remedy.

It was given as :

1. Bryonia 30 x D x H.S.
2. Rubrum 30 x 5 gtt x T.D. x P.C.
3. Saclac 30 x 5 gtt x T.D. x P.C.
4. Phytum 30 x 5 gtt x T.D. x P.C.

After 4 days of administration of Bryonia, his previously treated sexual problem by Ph-ac.  re-appeared.
He then approached me that there is something going wrong. After hearing this, I realized and witnessed the recurrence and reappearance of the palliated symptom. I did nothing, I left it be go on…
On the 6^th day of administration of Bryonia the sexual problem of the patient again disappeared. I continued the patient on the placebo.
Follow – up

The patient was improving and going in good direction and now at the 14^th day the progress stopped. Here I repeated Bryonia.

Patient came to me for medicines. I queried and found that the progress was going on. I left on placebo.

And from that time patient is free from excessive perspiration. Now he perspires normally…
