At MADITSSIA Hall for five days
The fourth edition of the show is expected to create an impact and awareness among different stakeholders, including end-users of the benefits of the traditional medicines viz., siddha, unani, ayurvedha, homeopathy and naturopathy.
Speaking to reporters here on Tuesday, Ayush (An exhibition of traditional and herbal products) Chairman V. Kalidoss and MADITSSIA president L. Murari said that over 75 stalls had confirmed their participation. The primary objective of the show was to educate and spread the benefits of traditional medicines to more people.
Keeping this in mind, the public entry is free. Leading manufacturers from Ayurvedic medicines would display their products. Experts from Siddha Central Research Institute, Directorate of Indian Medicine and Homeopathy and others are expected to hold interactive sessions.
A free medical camp is also planned at the herbal show as visitors can have a hands-on experience. Television fame Sidha doctor Sivaraman would deliver a talk on ‘what food is mine’ ‘what is the remedy’ during the five-day event.
A competition has been planned and participant can cook the dishes at their places and display the same with the ingredients used.
The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Corporation Commissioner S. Aneesh Sekhar would inaugurate and Collector K. Veera Raghava Rao would address the valedictory function on August 15, they added.
