U.P Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath orders opening of yoga wellness centres in all UP districts and State Homeopathic Medical College, Lucknow

 

Summary: Under clean Ganga project, medicinal gardens will be developed in State Ayurveda College, Varanasi and State Unani College, Allahabad. After ordering to make Yoga education programme compulsory in government schools, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday ordered opening of Yoga Wellness Centres in all UP districts. To check corruption in the purchase of medicine and equipment, Yogi directed the officers to follow e-tendering procedure in the purchase. Yogi also ordered for starting up post graduate course in State Ayurveda College and Hospital in Varanasi, Unani College, Allahabad, TT College Lucknow, State Homeopathic Medical College, Lucknow and Allahabad. Also, an Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) University will be set up for regularisation of academic session in all government and private ayurveda, homeopathy and unani colleges.

After ordering to make Yoga education programme compulsory in government schools, chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday ordered opening of Yoga Wellness Centres in all UP districts. While in 40 districts, the centres will come up in Ayurveda, Unani and Homeopathy government hospitals existing there, in remaining 35 districts the state government will urge the central government to grant aide for opening a centre in each of them. The chief minister directed the officers to create awareness for yoga among masses by ensuring the participation of 51,000 people in group yoga exercise to be organised in Lucknow on International Yoga Day (June 21.) To promote medicinal plant, the state government will set up a Model Herbal Garden in Lucknow. It will come up near State Homeopathy Medical College. Also, an Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) University will be set up for regularisation of academic session in all government and private ayurveda, homeopathy and unani colleges. Under clean Ganga project, medicinal gardens will be developed in State Ayurveda College, Varanasi and State Unani College, Allahabad. In a presentation organised by AYUSH department, Yogi ordered the establishment of specialized centres of Ayurveda and Unani method of treatment in Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Saharanpur and Banda. Yogi also ordered for starting up post graduate course in State Ayurveda College and Hospital in Varanasi, Unani College, Allahabad, TT College Lucknow, State Homeopathic Medical College, Lucknow and Allahabad. “People should have information about availability and distribution of medicines in the ayurveda, unani and homeopathy hospitals on line through medicine management software,” he said while setting the deadline for the construction and renovation of college and hospitals buildings by the end of the 2017-18 financial year. ASHA workers stipend to be increased Chief minister Yogi Adityanath directed the health and family welfare department officers to check foeticide by ensuring strict implementation of the PNDT Act.
The state government is committed to maintain gender equality, he said. The state government will increase the stipend of ASHA workers posted in the villages, the CM announced. He directed the officers to check infant and maternal mortality with better implementation of Janani Surksha Yojana, Janani Shishu Surksha Yojana and Prime Minister Surakshit Abhiyan across the state.
