At this medical camp the basic treatment along with general health check up were done to help community be aware of their health status. A team of homoeopathic doctors from District Hospital, Kalimpong and LSD Clinic, Pedong BPHC Hospital, Pedong were present during the medical camp and health awareness program.
Dr Ashish Kumar Jha, Research Associate (H), LSD Clinic, Pedong BPHC, Pedong (CRU (H), under CCRH, Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India) explained the role of Homoeopathy in Non Communicable Diseases like Diabetes and Hypertension. He also discussed the role of hygiene and sanitation in the community health.
Dr Indira Singh, Medical officer (AYUSH), District Hospital, Kalimpong, Govt. of WB stated the effectiveness of Homoeopathy in Female anomalies like Dysmenorrhoea, PCOD, Menorrhagia. She explained the role of Diet & regimen, health and hygiene. Dr S K Singh, Medical officer (AYUSH), District Hospital, Kalimpong, Govt. of WB elaborated the efficacy of Homoeopathy in GIT diseases esp. in Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Gastritis.
