D.Y.Patil Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune wins first prize in E-Poster competition

On 7^th April 2017  Maharashtra Technical Education Society’s Dhondumama Sathe Homoeopathic Medical College , Pune in association with B.Jain group of Companies New Delhi for the first time organised a State Level E-Poster Presentation Competition for PG students.

There were four topics for the E-poster Presentation,

1. Homoeopathy in Geriatric Care,
2. Homoeopathy in Cancer Management,
3. Homoeopathy for Mother and Child,
4. Scope of Homoeopathy in 21^st

The participants were supposed to prepare E-Poster and Powerpoints for all the four topics.
Two students formed a team and maximum two teams were allowed to participate per college. We got an overwhelming response from the colleges in the state of Maharashtra.
Eight colleges participated and there were total 13 teams. Thus these participants explored the platform laid by us.
The teams reached at 10 am sharp on the day of the competition for registration
Once they reached, they picked up a chit which randomly selected one out of the four topics and presentation number for their presentation. After registration by the students volunteers accompanied them for breakfast which was arranged by our college. They were asked to fill up a feedback form before leaving. Thus each team was allotted a student volunteer to take care of them throughout the day. Preparation time was given till 11.45am.
At 12pm all the teams assembled in the meeting hall of the college as per schedule. The programme was compered by Dr.Sneha and Dr.Kimaya, faculty at DSHMC. At the beginning Dr.Sneha welcomed the audience. After a floral tribute to Dr.Samuel Hahnemann and lightening of lamp by the dignitaries, Principal Dr.Maneesha Solanki paid a tribute to our Master and marked the beginning of the program by giving an introduction of the event and expressing   gratitude for BJain group.  Further she , felicitated the Judges, Dr.Ramakant Dagade    MD( Hom) a renowed homoeopath from Kolhapur & immediate past  President IIHP ,India and  Dr.Charuchandra Joshi MS (Gynaec, obs) , a renowned gynaecologist of Pune &President Obstetrics society of Pune . The other guest of honour was Dr.Prasad Kelkar, Vice Chairman MTES .All HOD’s , Staff members and Students were also  present.
As per their given number each team started with their presentation , with a time limit of 4mins for their entire presentation. There was a warning bell after 3mins. The time was strictly maintained. There were total 13 presentations, out of which  three Presentations were  each on Homoeopathy in Cancer Management, Homoeopathy for Mother and Child, Scope of Homoeopathy in 21^st Century and four were on Homoeopathy in Geriatric Care respectively. This was followed by Lunch for which the participants were escorted by their volunteers. Post lunch all assembled in the hall by 2.30pm.
Before the prizes were announced , our Guest of Honour ,Dr.Ramakant Dagade addressed the gathering in view of 262^nd Birth Anniversary of Dr.Samuel Hahnemann on the topic of Geriatrics being his special interest. Followed by him Dr.Charuchandra Joshi expressed his views about the competition and said it was the most meticulously arranged event he has attended so far. He congratulated the organising team as well.
The participation certificates were presented to the participants at the hands of the Principal, and then the prize winners were announced. The prizes were sponsored by B.Jain in the name of P.N.Jain Foundation, the founder architect of B.Jain Group of Companies.

1^st Prize: – Dr Madhu Pahuja and Dr Ankita Bansal from D.Y.Patil Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune. Their topic was ‘Scope of Homoeopathy in 21^st Century’.- Cash Prize of Rs 21,000 and a medicine kit worth Rs.3000 Sponsored by P.N.Jain Foundation (founder of B.Jain Group of Companies)

2^nd Prize: – Dr Meenal Jeurkar and Dr Amrita Rodrigues from Dhondumama Sathe Homoeopathic Medical College, Pune Their topic was ‘Scope of Homoeopathy in 21^st Century’ –Cash Prize of Rs.11,000 and Medical Kit worth Rs.3000 , Certificate and Trophy Sponsored by P.N.Jain Foundation (founder of B.Jain Group of Companies)

3^rd Prize: – Dr Sonal Mistry and Dr Swapnaja Nagle from M.L.Dhawale Homoeopathic Institute. Palghar. Their topic was ‘Homoeopathy in Geriatric Care’- Cash Prize of Rs.5,100 and Medical Kit worth Rs.3000, Certificate and Trophy Sponsored by P.N.Jain Foundation (founder of B.Jain Group of Companies)

Prize winners were awarded at the hands of the Judges.
Photographs of the dignitaries with the volunteers, participants and prize winners were taken separately. All the participants left with a smile on their faces and a sense of satisfaction after filling the feedback forms.
The entire event was organized and executed under the able guidance of Principal Dr.Maneesha Solanki. The arrangements and co-ordination was done by Dr.Sneha, Dr.Shradha, Dr.Jatan, Dr.Sayli, Dr.Anjali and Mrs.Rupali. They were assisted by a team of 20 student Volunteers.

The event was a great success in association with B.Jain Group of Companies.
