“World Homoeopathy Day” was celebrated by Pedong BPHC on April 10, 2017 on the auspicious occasion of Birthday Anniversary of Founder of Homoeopathy Dr Samuel Hahnemann. The Block Medical Officer of Health Dr Navin Jyoti Pradhan inaugurated the ceremony with the lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Dr Hahnemann’s Potrait. Not only the medical & non-medical hospital staff but also the patients and residents of Pedong village were present during the ceremony.
Dr Sunil Kr Singh and Dr Indira Singh from Kalimpong District Hospital and Dr P. K. Jha & Dr Ashish Kr. Jha from Pedong BPHC Hospital explained the effectiveness of homoeopathic treatment in the chronic as well as acute illness.
Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India is running NPCDCS Program at Pedong BPHC where non communicable diseases (NCD) like Diabetes and Hypertension are treated effectively with Homoeopathic mode of treatment.
